Since 1987 VARIG have Boeing 767 ER (Extended Range)
aircraft for its international routes. The first 767ER,
coming directly from factory, received the prefix PP-VNN.
VARIG was the first airline to receive B767 with General
Electric engines, advanced technology, high efficiency and
lower fuel consumption. These aircraft are equipped with FMS
(Flight Management System). The FMS have a database with all
information regarding plane's performance and, when
necessary, are passed on quickly to flight crew. This system
is one of the most modern.
