The Boeing 737 was introduced on VARIG's domestic routes and with it VARIG can increase the frequency of their main flights in Brazil, thus increasing the number of seats available. The first B-737 Super Advanced, PP-VME, from Seattle's factory, United States, arrived in Brazil in November 1974. Since then, the company acquired several series of this aircraft model.
The Boeing 737 is responsible for almost all domestic flights and "Air-Bridge" Rio - São Paulo. VARIG currently operates Boeing 737-300, 737-400, 737-500, 737-700 and 737-800 generations.
