Arrive into Brazil on any scheduled Star Alliance or Pluna flight and travel to up to 9 VARIG destination cities.

Arrive into Brazil on any internationally scheduled flight and travel to up to 9 VARIG destination cities.

VARIG Star Alliance NorthEast Brazil Airpass
Arrive into Brazil on any Star Alliance carrier. Travel exclusively within the northeastern region of Brazil. (An extension from Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo is possible for an additional fee.)

The Electronic Ticket has the same characteristics as a paper ticket, although it is not printed on paper and is maintained in VARIG’s computerized system for future reference. This allows the passenger, upon arrival at the airport, to go directly to check-in and receive the boarding pass, merely by giving his/her name and providing the documents required by local authorities. VARIG’S Electronic Ticket is the first in Brazil to receive the seal of IATA (International Air Transport Association), recognized by the 240 companies that comprise it, and so it is accepted throughout the world.

Since the purchasing information is maintained within the system, there is no danger of loss, theft or damage. The request can be made via internet, by phone, in ticket offices or VARIG kiosks and at travel agencies. VARIG offers this service for all domestic routes, and internationally to Cordoba, Asuncion, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Santiago (Chile), Mexico City, Lisbon, Madrid, Frankfurt and in the United States to New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and to Tokyo. On domestic trips it is advisable to present the itinerary receipt (ITR), which the customer receives by e-mail or fax. International governmental agencies require the presentation of the ITR on international flights.

VARIG understands how important it is to offer quality service to make the passengers’ time on board ever more agreeable. To this end, the company procured specialists to develop a true gastronomic revolution on the menu offered on our airplanes. Taking into consideration eating habits, lifestyles, religion, and general state of health, VARIG puts at its customers’ disposal a large variety of special meals.

In addition to the wide variety of options, the customer can make special requests that are not included among the meals already offered. For this, you need only utilize the field “special requests” at the end of the reservation and your request will be evaluated. VARIG’s onboard service also offers special milk formula (for baby bottles), special cereals (Neston/Mucilon, farinha lactea, etc.), meals with specific food-type restrictions, medically prescribed diets, etc.

Economy Class reserves good surprises and quality service to passengers. In the major onboard meals on international flights, passengers choose between two or three options of hot dishes, depending on the route and flight time. In transoceanic flights, you can choose the Snack Bar, a self-service buffet with a variety of snack foods.

On daytime flights of more than five hours, the flight crew offers the Movie Snack, sandwiches and finger-foods accompanied by your favorite beverage.

Executive Class

Extra space is only one of the special indicators of VARIG’s Executive Class. Seats recline up to 135 degrees. In addition, onboard service offers you two appetizer options, four entree options, and a dessert, in addition to fruit and cheese plates. Drinks follow the VARIG First concept and the Wines of theWorld program is also available.

In addition to TV VARIG programming on the screen, the entertainment on VARIG Business includes individual video machines, with twelve program options including six films, in as many as seven different languages.

VARIG Business also offers kits of highest quality with comfort items focussed on aromatherapy. They are exclusive models offered free of charge that can be reused after your flight. In addition, other items complement the kits and can be requested from the personnel on board.

Executive Class service offers Executive Express, quick service that allows customers the opportunity to begin resting sooner or to have more time to finish planning that presentation for the business meeting the next morning

First Class

Personal attention is the chief principle of VARIG’s First Class. Onboard service, which follows the Restaurant Style philosophy, permits you to choose, from a diversified menu, the meal of your choice and schedule the time you wish to be served each of your meals.

The menu is composed of four appetizer options, five entree options, and two desserts, as well as fruits and cheeses. Iranian caviar, which is becoming rare and exclusive, continues being the highlight of VARIG’s on board service.

Varig, through its Training Center – VARIG Flight Training Center, can offer aviation lovers everywhere the most sophisticated pilot training in the world: The Full Flight Simulator. On this flight simulator virtual reality is taken to the extreme and you have the chance to fly a Boeing with no previous knowledge of air navigation necessary.

Just bring your desire to live this grand adventure and you will be piloting with the assistance of one of VARIG’s experienced instructors. Come discover why aviation is so safe!

You can even bring two friends to observe you skills, as well as to take photographs or record it on video. Everything needed can be had to immortalize this exciting experience that the VARIG Flight Training Center has to offer you.

The dynamics of the movements and the images transmitted to the users throughout the flight on the simulator do not present any risk to the physical well-being of the pilot or companions, because, as in real flight, everyone will be employing seat belts. The only difference will be the weather conditions, which will remain good as long as you wish them to.

The cost of the flight simulation from the Pilot for a Day Program is US$190.00*, converted to local currency on the date of the issuance of payment notification. The price includes preliminary explanations (briefing), an hour of flight and another 15 minutes of final remarks about the maneuvers and skills utilized (debriefing). The flight is conducted at the VARIG Flight Training Center in Rio de Janeiro.
